Lower East Side

Day 3 of our trip and we still couldn't wake up before 1pm. That might be due to the fact we can't sleep until 3:30am. Hopefully that sorts itself out! We caught the subway to Canal St. infamous for its' shopping. We explored the lower east side of Manhattan which was nice and homey. Was a nice change to the hustle and bustle of Times Square. We found a shop that sold brands like the North Face, Levi's, Ray Bans and quickly realized how much we get ripped off in Australia. We pay at least $100 more for these brands back home.
We met up with my(Mel) friend Scott for brunch. Apparently in Manhattan brunch starts at 3pm. We went to this trendy place called Three of Cups on 1st ave and 5th. Was lots of fun! For $5 we got unlimited Mimosa's and another $15 got us an awesome meal. Amongst the 20 of us happened to be a millionaire who kindly picked up the bill. Wouldn't it be nice to be rich!
Jules (who I also happened to know from Melbourne) took us to a typical American sports bar called the Hairy Monk. Good day/night!!
