It was tough being away from everyone this Christmas, but we tried to make the most of it, and I believe we did!
We started off by heading to the NBA season opener at Madison Square Garden, New York Knicks Vs. Boston Celtics. The Knicks took it out 106-104 in what was a great game and one that I will remember for a long time!
We then headed to dinner at Brasserie where I had possibly the best lamb I've ever had, Mel's roast duck was a winner also.
Yesterday we arrived in Montreal after a 10 hour train ride, and we are now about to check out what this city has to offer, check back soon for updates.

Guggenheim, Statue Of Liberty, Coney Island and the Brooklyn Bridge
So we are off to Montreal on the 26th, then back here in New York on the 31st for New Years, and I think we are both satisfied that we have seen a lot of what New York has to offer.
We have seen some great things these last couple of days, the Statue Of Liberty and Ellis Island are definitely some of them, did you know that the statue is made of copper and is only as thick as a 20 cent coin? There's a fact for you!!! And the Statue was originally brown, and when copper oxidizes over time it turns green? There's another!! And the lady's fingernail is the length of your forearm? one more!
We got a taste of Summer down in Coney Island when we walked a long the beach, got in touch with our artistic side at the Guggenheim museum and walked on some history over the Brooklyn bridge.
Today we are going to see Wicked on Broadway and enjoy a New York Christmas Eve in Times Square, and tomorrow is the big day, Christmas and an NBA game at Madison Square Garden followed by a big Christmas dinner at Brasserie, and hopefully some snow!
We are thinking of everyone back home and would love to be there at this time of the year, we miss you all!

Central Park, Rent, Man Vs Food, Staten Island & Memphis
We have done a lot here in New York since the last update, so I will try and quickly cover it all.
Central Park has been a favorite of both of us so far, i think what makes it special is the fact that it's an escape from the craziness that is New York. You can tell the locals take good care of it and understand the importance of keeping it in good condition.
They have a great market at the start of the park where we enjoyed some good food and good shopping, and also witnessed an eagle or hawk hunt down another bird!
We have seen three more shows on and Off-Broadway; Rent, Alvin Ailey and Memphis, and so far I think Rent has been the best. Quite an amazing show!
We have been to visit the restaurant Brennan and Carr in Brooklyn, which is on the TV show Man vs Food, and produced some of the best roast beef we have ever had!
We hope everyone back home is having a wonderful holiday season and we miss you all.
